What does it mean to be a kid at heart?

The only thing I can think of, being a child/kid, is how much I enjoy making my parents and grandparents proud of me. My love is to ace my school work making time for the things I really love, basketball, soccer, baseball, seeing the football team wipe out the competition on Friday nights, only to go home and tell my loved ones how much fun it was, knowing there was a part of them that was reliving a vicarious experience through my life as a child.

That’s such a heartfelt sentiment, Tim. It’s clear that your desire to make your family proud was a driving force in your childhood, and it’s wonderful that you found joy in both academics and sports. Sharing your experiences with your loved ones not only brought them happiness, but also strengthened your bond with them.
It sounds like you were living a full, well-rounded life as a kid, and your family’s pride in you must have been a great source of motivation and encouragement.
